GOES-U Mission Overview video explaining the reason for launching the latest geostationary weather satellite.

Welcome to my projects page.

As a contractor, not all my projects have made there way to my Vimeo account (yet…). Here I’ve gathered a smattering that are on my account page, or shared by the groups I work with.

Earth From Orbit Series

We developed the Earth From Orbit series to showcase the weather phenomena that can be seen by weather satellites, from hurricanes to lightning, wildfires, and more. This series has grown exponentially and has occasionally been used for congressional briefings (from what I’ve been told).

Working with Federal Agencies

I primarily work with NASA since I am a contractor for NASA, but I also have the opportunity to work with NOAA in overlapping areas such as the GOES weather satellite mission.

From beginning to end, these projects are a collaboration between Public Affairs, NASA, NOAA, scientists, writers, other video producers and myself. Sometimes, it can be tedious (especially when there are 15 people reviewing and potentially multiple rounds of reviewing…), but at time when there is heightened distrust in science it is important to maintain the integrity of facts.

While I love film and photography, sometimes I need a break for other creative pursuits. When I’m not busy editing or out with a camera, you can either find me painting, drawing, or learning some other medium.

I’ve most recently learned printmaking, spinning yarn, knitting and weaving (I needed to use all the yarn I made). It’s all about trying and learning new things.

If you are interested in spinning a yarn with me, or weaving together a story, feel free to drop a line using the form!
